I dont know about new light version but those are included in shadowkeep

Yes they are included, i dont know if you need to get the new supers as we did in forsaken but yes you can get the new sub classes :D

I am wondering if any of you vet's of the game think this will be an issue to new players?

The middle tree classes are only available to you if you own forsaken or shadowkeep

Maybe a bit, the only new super I can really call "Meta" is the hunter supers. The Forsaken subclasses for Hunters were a big improvement. The warlock ones are generally best for boss damage and the titan ones are about on par with the rest of the titan ones.

If you get Shadowkeep; they'll be included (but Forsaken just wont).
If you don't have either Shadowkeep or Forsaken; you wont get the subclasses.
