Well It says on the bounty i have 3 days left to complete it. It was not made clear to me in-game that the iron banner lasts just 7 days, so that the timer on the bounty is a lie. So for me, this is a very big game design flaw, and quite an huge oversight at that.
For me the bounty was quite hard, but i figured out how to increase grenade speed and such, so the abilitiy bounty became easier. But now all that effort was in vain.
I dont follow the game on social media or such, nor do I think one should need to to be able to be within the limitations the game sets for you.
Imo one should at least be able to finish a bounty with time left on it, by doing regular crucible matches, but I tried that - I thought this had to be a bug or something. But that doesn't work either.

Hopefully someone from the developer team read thru these posts, or this issue will re-appear once again next time for somebody else. And it's not going to make them want to put money into the game.

It pops up.....you have to press escape to dismiss it. If you miss that you might need to get your eyes checked

I value your informed response, but i never saw this. I also usually do a ton of bounties as i'm sure many others do as well, and I have fairly good managment over those. When I login, it's about getting into the game asap so i might have clicked it away, but sometimes when i login there is a black screen for a bit before i "get in". Also experienced some crashes with the game, but i fixed most by port forwarding and changing emblem.
Also thank you for the confirmation completed bounties can stay, I had pondered upon that before.

The problem I have here with this iron banner bounty is that the information said on the bounty is incorrect. The deadline on it was what i was going after. Obviously If i knew the deadline was sooner, i would have made sure to finish it sooner, and not just let it get stuck at 96%. I was literally just taking a break from it while doing some inventory housekeeping.
I don't really care about any other argument that could be made here. It is a flaw inn the game and it is cheating the player who isn't aware of the actual deadline.
It needs to be changed.

Scour the rust is a newbie quest designed to get them used to iron banner, as well as make them work for rewards. It doesn't even take long to complete if you're average at PVP.

There's no reason to try and protect the developers not fixing this without you being either emotionally or economically invested and trying to save whatever it may be. The login intro popups are just about always about things that carry no meaning other then to sell something to the player.

Err, that's because it was most likely a weekly bounty, which automatically gives it a 7 day period from the moment you pick it up. You can do the same thing with banshee bounties or crucible ones. I mean, I have a gambit prime one from last week middle of the week that still has two and a half days. This isn't anything new and the information about the iron banner was literally plastered in your face the first moment you logged in from last week's reset.

You will be able to continue the Scour the Rust quest during the next Iron Banner. Just hold on to it for now. The quest expires at the end of the season.

You do know these IB Bounties have been like this since the start.....AND NOBODY COMPLAINED UNTILL NOW!

Even if you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ google it (Wich is not hard) it even says its a weekly event. It says it when loging in. You can complain all you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ want but its your own fault you neglect and dont read ingame login announcements.

The informatiion off the bounty shouldnt bee needed if you read into twabs and news. So yes, it si you neglectting information.
