As a part of the free version of the game, it's fine, but it was quite underwhelming at its release.
Warmind is better albeit still short but Forsaken is the level of quality people were expecting and deserve. That just demonstrates how dreadful CoO really was.
And I'm not counting the side missions, I mean go in cause I want to.
I never had to experience that... but people are STILL complaining about it... now that its free... it seems a bit silly.
If it wasn't for the crazy Osiris books and their odd resource requirements I'd be completely done with Mercury altogether already. Mars was a tad longer and has better gear on offer like an Exotic Scout Rifle and the Midnight Exigent set as well as Anna's armor offerings. War Mind is definitely better in every aspect, but do appreciate CoO due to the fact that it's free.
After War Mind was released and with all of the Battle.net garbage I threw in the towel on Destiny; what they've done so far since departure with Activision has been admirable and considering the time between the split and New Light release conjunct with the release of Shadow Keep its apparent that they're pretty capable of getting stuff done when they have creative wiggle room.
Conclusion is that I despised CoO and War Mind, but not so much anymore. Actually feel empathy toward Bungie and inevitable their product (Destiny).
