Heroic strikes are what? Regular vanguard strikes now?

Been googling around on how to obtain certain exotic catalysts.
And there are several that note it is a drop from a "heroic strike boss"

Now I dont see the word "heroic" anywhere mentioned ingame besides the "daily heroic story mission",other then that there's just "vanguard strikes" or nightfalls.

Am I missing something?

The catalysts in question are the sweet business and the prometheus lens.

The only Heroic is on Nessus atm.The whole system is as clear as mud tbh.I'm looking to get the cat for Huckleberry.

Nightfall: The Ordeals would work. I ran those a few times early on in the release and got all three from the faction rally almost immediately.

They are a rare drop though.

Turns out that, "heroic strikes" do NOT exist anymore in the game.
The websites that list certain rewards coming from "heroic strikes" are OUTDATED and should NOT be followed anymore.

When looking in the game at the collections page you will notice most items tell you where they drop.

As for the specific catalyst I was looking for, It will drop from "the most challenging bosses" wich include just nearly any boss.


In other words, Bungie broke the system on where on how to find certain catalysts. And right now all you can do to get the "global" ones is to just play nightfalls.

Hence the title for this topic ;) just to find some clarification that bungie themselves never gave upon updating such mechanics.
