Can I still get goat mount?

Am I unable to get the goat mount if I didn't go to Haru's going away party? I got busy and forgot, and since then I have completed the main story.

Im not sure but I think, even you miss the quest, you will get her when you build the barn.

Hmm...I built the small and large stable. I'll have to check and see if I missed a structure. I have rabbits, chickens, yakmel, a camel, horse, and yakmel mount.

Just trying to complete everything before I start over again or move on to another game.

Go outside logan's house, haru's goat should be next to Rambo.

Barns are for livestock, not mounts. Mounts go in the stable.

@vinnygunnz, I don't know whether you can still get the goat, but my guess would be no. I think if you could still get the goat, it would have shown up in your stable as soon as you had room for it.

With the upgraded stable I believe I can have 6 pets. Currently I only have 3.

I looked through my emails from friends, Haru sent me some letters but nothing asking to take care of Merle unfortunately.

I did find Merle in Logan's hideout but I can't initiate any action with him unfortunately.

I also don't see him next to Logan's mount outside his house in town.

One other fact that might be relevant, when I used the whistle for the first time today it said I had unlocked a new mount.

But I don't see Merle anywhere.

I sent an email to the devs but it's the holidays. If I find resolution on this topic I will update.

Iirc At the party, Haru asks you to take care of Merle and tells you that you can pick up Merle outside Logan's house in case you don't have a stable yet. I'm guessing that if you skip the party and never have that conversation, you don't get Merle.

If you use the whistle again, is Merle one of the mount options to call? If she is and you don't see her when you whistle for her, go out into the desert where there's plenty of room (and less geometry for her to get stuck on) and try whistling for her again.

I'm sorry. :( I think your best bet is going to be waiting to hear back from the devs. It's possible that it's a bug, but I'm leaning towards it not being one.

I had a lot of trouble missing stuff in Portia because I'd just forget. I've been making notes on the calendar to try to not forget stuff in Sandrock. Of course if you are totally engrossed in whatever you are doing, it's easy to miss the notification sound. I may have done that a few times in Sandrock. lol

I got an email response from the company. They said you have to complete the quest to get the mount. So I'm out of luck unfortunately.

Kinda bummed. I was super busy that day and forgot.

Too bad there isn't an alternate way to get the mount or one like it. Off to the next game I guess.

Do you not have an old save? I always make multiple. Also, if there isn't a reminder, there should be. Most events have reminders...

I doubt he wants to do 20+ hours of game over just to get the mount. He said he had completed the main story already.
