My settings are maxed, but my resolution is just 1080p. So if you have a 4k monitor, you probably are getting worse performance.
But yeah, the game is definitely not great performance-wise. Still, 50-80fps for this kind of game is fine, I certainly don't notice much. Frankly, unless it drops under 30 I'd probably not notice with this type of graphics.
At 1080p all settings on max I have a solid 60 fps, it will constantly be switching between 59 and 60 but for the most part is at 60, I do have fps limit to 60 and vertical sync on, since Im on a tv and not on monitor.
@1440p all settings on high I do get 60+ fps with no sync and no fps limit. I can Easily hit 80 fps.
So with that said, I recommend you look into your pc settings, your graphics card settings and your overall your pc hardware set up, because sometimes things as simple as a mother board or ram could be whats dragging your over all performance.
Also I forgot to mention that I have the epic store version, dont know if there would be any difference in performance but hey you never know, some times on steam games run better than on game pass, talking about the same games that are on both, and sometimes its the opposite.
You said your driver was up to date, did you try reinstalling it just in case? Sometimes they don't install properly.
Is it possible the 16 GB just isn't enough? I've got 64 GB on this rig, and next time I'll go for more, but ever since my final project years ago included a scene with sunlight that took 6 hours to render I've erred on the side of more and more RAM. lol
Also, what games do you play that you aren't having trouble with? That might help with troubleshooting.
W11, i5-12600k, 32gb ram, NVME, 1660Ti, Extreme Settings. 1920x1080 60fps. If I raise the cap to 144fps, in town I'm around 60fps. In the desert it's 80fps. If I idle in the desert, 100fps.
I recently started a new playthough and noticed how smooth everything was at first but then it gradually started getting worse the further i progressed.
I'v already checked with every possible utility.
MTAS is badly optimized and mainly uses CPU instead of GPU.
All those people who tells you, that their game runs perfectly, are simply don't get this problem. Look at their specs.
Powerful graphics card are simply not supported.
Yeah, it's stupid. But it's the harsh truth.
I can run Starfield on max settings with no issues whatsoever. No issues in Sandrock either.
