With people review bombing almost every new release recently there are weirder things then this.
I can see their point, if the promised multiplayer storyline is why you backed the kickstarter, it's fair to be bummed out about it and maybe even feel a bit betrayed.
At this point, SunnySide is a COMPLETELY different game from the one I backed on Kickstarter. Super disappointing, but it is a risk you take backing a project so early on in development.

Ah. Yeah, make sense with the chronology of announcements, that trend started with the latest batches of MP tests. Why it seemed to me it's mainly chinese reviewers who're upset on that might be a statistical bias, as I suppose everybody wanting that feature is a bit disappointed.
TBH I understand why Pathea made this choice, the story line and game structure doesn't really seem adapted for MP in the first place and adding that after the fact can be a massive headache.
And, well, better have a mission based multiplayer sandbox than no MP at all.
But it's still a bit disappointing.
