Where do you get a machete?

I found a sector with bushes that required a machete to cut down, but the only melee weapons I've found are knives.

Which sector? Machetes will drop at random from killed opponents

There's a sector selling machette, I failed re find it in my current play lol, but it's in the area with a lot of fields sectors. (south east)

some higher tier enemies drop it. its not random. its not guaranteed to drop, as with all loot.

Natural drop mid game, I noticed they have high drop chance from heavy legion squads

Also you can sharpen (+dmg) or balance (-AP cost) blades
