Mouse / Buns morale down. Is Fox the problem? Again???

I have Mouse, Fox and Buns in my team + Wolf, Barry. Mouse's and Bun's morale is down.
I remember from JA2 that Fox and Mouse didn't get along but I didn't get a single word against hiring Fox from Mouse. No "Oh, look, it's that w-re Guzzman!" or anything.
Also, even if they kill people, their morale doesn't go up.

Is Fox the problem again? I like both Mouse and Fox. Buns I could do without, but I would still prefer to keep her.

So, the question is:
- Is Fox the problem again in this game? Her morale is OK
- How can I increase morale? Kills don't seem to solve the problem - or perhaps I don't kill enough people
- Will morale continue to detoriate with Mouse eventually leaving?

And a couple of completely random questions:
- Do mercs sleep in this game or they are considered to be sleeping when inactive?
- Can I "speed up" or slower the strategic map pass-time?

Some quests can be solved by doing something righteous, which will increase the participating mercs morale for a while. You can mostly increase it in combat though if you have the right perks. Some mercs also have custom talents which help with that. Just check the available perks in the game yourself.

In the thread linked above, someone mentioned a mod for that. Other than that, no.

Mouse and Buns doesn't like Fox...
Fox like Wolf so her morale should be high ? (and Wolf too)
Killing ennemies can only rise the morale during a fight (if things go well, I mean you hit more than you are hit) but morale will become low after each fight. In towns, you can use the "R & R" operations to have a bonus morale.
I advice you to split your team :
Mouse, Buns and Barry = Team 1
Fox and Wolf = Team 2 (very effective for training militia)

- I think mercs have some rest when doing nothing.
- I don't know, but I'm interested if anyone else know.

If you try to hire Wolf, there's a 10% chance that he will decline, because he has a life, you know? His decision won't change even if you call him again. Unless you hire Fox first, then he'll forget about his life to spend some quality time with her in the beautiful country of Grand Chien.

I got Fox and Mouse in my current Alpha team. Mouse is ok working with Fox, so long as you also hire other girls in the team. Just don't put Buns in this team.

I have a ton of girls (IMP, Buns, Mouse, Fox) and Mouse still gets the -1. Is it because of Buns?

Yes, Fox is the problem.

For Buns, she will ask for more money in her contract renewal. Buns is a problem for other mercs too, so move Buns into a separate team, maybe with Grunty (+1AP).

For Mouse, she will not ask for more money, but you need other girls in the team with Fox. Mouse's low morale (-1AP) is not a problem during sneaky attack because action points are not required. If you are able to use Mouse to kill a few enemy before combat action begins,
with Lemonwire in the team, the team morale will become high, giving +1 action points to everyone.

So when your mercs can have 21 action points and however many free movement, then -1 AP for Mouse is not a big problem. This is why there is no problem for Mouse and Fox to be in the same team.

I had Mouse and Fox on the same team and Mouse's morale went from -1 to -2. After removing Fox (terminating her contract) Mouse's morale went from -2 to Stable immediately.
