Plus they're (usually) already encumbered by the MG so I'm not really losing anything AP-wise.
Snipers need the AP to move to high ground / behind cover. Once they get there, they don't really need armor because they should be far away and above the enemies.
I wonder ( haven't test ) if Hitman would be happy with it, like an unamovible tank sniper, he would runaway ?
Or a fat ( high hp ) overwacht auto weapon/bipod, with Hold position perk
AG : fast runner (mvt ), lightning reflex (héhé ), Frog leap (not that good with ironclad)
I prefer to use breach & clear's free movement to get them back behind cover.
Not saying it's a bad strategy - I just personally prefer not getting injured at all over tanking.

RPK or Minimi.
my current experimental build is Raven with breach & clear and Ironclad. lmg as primary. non vision obstructing grenades & uzi or lion's roar on secondary.
Blood in shotgun/melée can tavel around the entire map
Could be deadly and tanky ( she take some hit sometimes with smg ) but forget the lion, i use this uzi with those shock ammo ( even vs armor ), she's the best
