I try to start with the squad with the worst Leadership stat since they move slower.
Doesn't all movement stop when combat starts in one place? I don't do this so I honestly have no clue. I thought it was a matter of simply timing it so all your attack groups are on the same tile at the same time. They don't have to be in the exact centre but so long as they are in the tile they will take part. Genuinely going to have to check this out some time because I just never use two squads.
people keep saying this but when you back out, anytime you try to restart the game clock, the popup pops right back up and pauses time...this loop repeats to you cannot then coordinate squad movements
This is what I thought happened and why I thought being in the same sector was enough. I have never used two squads at once so it's a new one on me.
Maybe the way I am talking about only works if there is an event involving enemies on the map but not an actual enemy squad icon on the tile itself. I am not sure.
That doesn't work for me. I have tried that over and over.
The problem is as soon as I close that Combat pop up and unpause, the combat pop up then reappears, this happens over and over again
I've been using two squads (5 mercs and 3 mercs, then later a 6 merc and 1 merc) for most of my current campaign, but we usually come from the same sector so arrival times are synced for the most part.
Attacking from different sectors is doable and satisfying, but it can be confusing if you don't know how the terrain and Leadership stats will affect your squads travel speed.
Yeah but you are not going to time it so that both squads hit the dead centre and start combat the same instant. Nobody is that good so it goes back to what I thought that they only need to be in the same sector when one starts the fight?
Remarkably confusing for something so simple. I really gotta test it for myself one day.
