So do I just avoid the Dog Princess at all costs?

So, I assume everybody knows about the Dog princess and how she just ♥♥♥♥♥ with your game. So my question is, if I truly want to explore the entire game, do I just avoid her at all costs?

Additional question, is there some sort of way to get candy very quick? Cause it's almost unplayable without some sort of candy cheat by how slowly you get these things. I find it irritating I need to become a patreon to access something from a game I already bought.

I usually show up to her tower to claim the soul urn, but no further than that.
Buy and equip family jewels from merch p when she's at the tavern and bang every NPC you come across (which you should be doing anyway for the reign reputation). You get even more if you stack it with the shorty special, if you can sneak past or bribe the guard.

whatamidoing sums it up the best. I personally like to grind the first level of the Treasure Dungeon for loot using a party member with a high luck rating. You don't get as many swirlies as you do farming NPC's with family jewels but you do get a decent selection of gear to outfit the party, plus you are a stones throw away from cat reign to buy big weapons if that suits your playstyle.

OK kinda new here but how does dog princess mess up your game? Besides locking up kobold princess? >.> I'm assuming she bugs your game?

Dog princess is hated by most of, if not all reigns. Also, she will lock up any princess you take into the tower, not just Kobold. Simply having Dog princess in your party makes a large swath of the game nearly impossible to interact with.

Not sure if she is any more 'speedrun' than Dragon Princess 1 or not. I do know she has a lot of special interactions baked into her between interrupting dialog and a few other events that can only happen with her. Have not made it very far with her myself as I needed the princess urn to collect Cat princess back in one of my saves. Found a way to get stranded on the icy island of Dragon Princess 2 and was not able to save her from a war v.v
