Thanks man a lot of people have been looking for this trick, just tried it and it worked perfectly, also on a side note... OH MY GOD MOUSE PRINCES CAN HAVE 4 PROGENY AT ONCE *GROSSED OUT SLIME NOISES*
Could you explain a bit more in detail? I've tried both Xbox and PS4 setting on my controller while in Steam Big Picture mode while trying to bind controlls to the Stone Controller in Princess and Conquest, but it never recognized the controller.
sure... go to big "picture mode" and go to "controller settings", in that menu go to "desktop settings" and set your face buttons to the keyboard keys A S Z and X the analog stick AND dpad to the arrow keys, the bumpers and triggers to shift, tab, and ctrl, R3 to C is best, then options to esc and the share button to F5 for putting it in full screen mode. my settings are like an action rpg with O for my menu. you also should check just one type of controller so as to not freak out the menu.
Edit: don't use the stone, the game is being tricked into thinking you're inputting keyboard key commands.
This is all I have,
Sorry my dude, I just checked and I was wrong MY BAD LOL
So... go to settings and go to "base Configurations" then go to "Desktop configurations" in big picture... again... my bad for not double checking.
I just bought the game recently with the hopes of being able to play it with a Xbox One controller.
Thanks to this guides I was able to map the keyboard buttons matching the controller's ones but I didn't map them all or got some in the wrong place.
My issue here is no matter how much I fix or re-adjust them on Big Picture mode the game doesn't update them, the config shows it did save it but the game is always taking the first time I configured, no matter if I reset or uninstall the game doesn't fix this problem.
I was wondering if anyone has met with this issue before or if there is any possible solutions to this, I will be grateful for any help.
I think that may be a steam issue, I think the mapped buttons are backpedaling on you when you exit.
if you hit default, then save it in the controller menu it may fix the issue. I've also been away from the game for a bit and I might get back into it later so let me know if it fixes it, I may need to redo the forum topic if it doesn't.
Thank you for your reply!
I sadly couldn't find anything that says "default" or set as default in anything related with controller settings, not even from the client\steam Tab\Controller SideTab\GENERAL CONTROLLER SETTINGS
I tried one post about disabling Xbox and Steam controller checkboxes, restating the laptop, turn everything back on but didn't worked, Big Picture mode always opens for remapping the settings and even if the game is told or marked not to be played with a controller it still responds with the control, always with the same settings I set the very first time.
I don't know if this is a very odd or strange issue since I couldn't find anything related to it aside of triggers and some sensitivity issues.
I appreciate your reply but there is no "default" button nowhere, I tried setting it back to recommended settings in Big Picture mode if that's considered default but simply does nothing.
More extreme solutions is messing with the drivers of the controller in the PC and I'm not willing to do that.
It's definitely on steam's end of things, the only things i can think of is deleting and then reinstalling steam itself. Or reporting it as a bug, then waiting for the next steam update.
Steam itself has been buggy lately, but the company usually jumps on things when it's called to their attention.
They may have fixed integration after this thread at some point, but now gxo's setup is going freaky lol
That is something I am attempting to help with, cause controller settings affect other things as well
Was it full controller support?, or the weird version of it (partly), where you have to get to your keyboard for every little thing.
It's like they had the idea to add controller support, put the item in the game and just forgot about it.
