Rebirth Coin farming?
Hey folks,

Not sure if I've realised something new or very obvious - or just made a mistake xD

I'm currently doing runs up to about level 300 and noticed my coin returns were sometimes wildly different - too much to be down to differences in the number of Megabosses between the runs.

---
EDIT: Better method than the below - pick any boss level, turn on 2x speed and minibosses, manually kill the boss and die (hit the 'die' button) before the round ends. Takes ~30 seconds, you get 2-3 coins and can immediately repeat the process ad infinitum.

Kinda subverts the point of the game though... Devs plz fix.
---

Couldn't figure out what the deal was until I realised that when fighting bosses every 5 waves, they drop coin when they die - NOT when the wave is completed. I've found a sweet spot at around wave 45 where (with 2x speed and mini-boss monsters) I can keep the game on autoplay, have the boss spawn each attempt, kill the boss (get coin) then die to mini-boss mobs and go straight back to the start of the round.

Not playtested this much yet - thoughts?

Cheers,
Grum

you usually dont want to push as far as you can. you're best off when you can easily handle all the mobs on miniboss mode and 2x speed. if you're taking any damage, except maybe the bosses every 5 waves, you've gone too far and should stop. your gold and exp earnings are best when you clear mobs quickly with both settings on.

the only time you should push with those off is if you are just short of reaching the next area, since moving to a new area makes monsters give much more gold/exp.

You're missing the beauty of it mate - agreed that's the way to maximize coins if you're doing all the levels - but this way you don't have to do all the levels.

However you grind and whenever you choose to rebirth, you're completing 5 levels to kill the boss and get coins.

This way you can repeat the same level over and over and keep getting coins. I've been doing it on wave 15 - after a while killing the boss and manually dying before the wave ends, I'm on 473 coins which is more than I've ever had on my longest runs. And I could keep doing this forever it seems. 2 Rebirth coins every 30 seconds or so, never leaving wave 15.

Only downside is it kinda nukes the entire purpose of the game...

well that and you can earn 1000s of rebirth coins at a much faster rate than you would slowly grinding them out at wave 15.

Thanks. I REALLY DO appreciate this tip. It helps to make this "game" seem as pointless as it really is.

P.s: Just trying to take credit where I think I deserve it - I suggested that the "Die" button could be used to end the round a few minutes before the Original Poster added his: "EDIT: Better method than the below - pick any boss level, turn on 2x speed and minibosses, manually kill the boss and die (hit the 'die' button)"

Later in the game, it's hard to find a "Sweet Spot" that's even sweet enough to allow this work while using the "Surrender" button, because the Boss usually dies last.

So I was really surprised just now that I was able to do this in Mountain Zone on Round 31940. (Rebirth #16).
