Destroying the Beeconomy with Baking: A Crisbee Story
So I was wandering around before finishing chapter 4 and was gathering up items to use for the boss and, of course, one of the must haves is Crisbee's donut. I was making them in bulk and plopping them in storage so I wouldn't have to repeat the process and realized when I was done that I had an extra flour that I didn't intend to use so I went next door to sell it.

And then I saw that Crisbee's donuts sell for 13, while the cost for making it is only 8.

And now I bring to you a step by step guide for turning a little money into a lottle money.

1) Have at least 48 berries as that's the minimum you'll need to make 6 donuts (which means 12 items before cooking, meaning the 13th item is wasted space).
2) Buy 6 Honey.
3) Cook 1 Honey to create a Glazed Honey
4) Purchase 1 Flour. (The reason for this is that the Glazed Honey gets put at the bottom of your inventory after it's created so buying the Flour will put it below the G.H., making it more time efficient when you're cooking them together.)
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have an even number of Glazed Honeys and Flour, 6 and 6.
6) Use the Flour and Glazed Honey to create the legendary donut! If you performed steps 3 and 4 correctly you should be able to talk to Crisbee, ask her to cook two items, and then just mash A until she's finished, as the items will already be in the appropriate order.
7) Take two steps outside and sell the 6 donuts to the vendor for a 30 berry profit.
8) Begin again at step 1 until satisfied with your berry count.

I'm not sure exactly how intended this strategy is, but it's a much faster and safer way to gain berries than by battling enemies or letting the game idle in the background for the bank. If for some reason you just absolutely want to max out that berry counter, I feel like this is the best way to do it.

The process only takes two or three minutes and you'll get faster at it the more you do it, so at a rate of ~10 berries per minute with zero of the potential loss you might expect in battles in terms of item usage or time going back to a healing point (which costs a varying amount of berries depending on what quests you've done or where you're resting) I feel as though this is an incredibly safe and fast method to farm up berries for whatever your needs may be.

Does anyone else have any berry farming strategies they'd like to share?

With proper medal setup, you can beat even late game enemies without any HP/TP losses by the end of the fight (works best with Forsaken Lands enemies). With Hard Hits and Berry Finder, that's over 30 berries per fight.
Golden Seedlings drop a lot of berries and a Tangy Berry, which has some rare recipes that can probably be sold for a lot. The highest sell cost one is Queen's Dinner, but it might take a bit too much time to be effective, as it requires to go between all 3 chefs.
There's a spider NPC in the Forsaken Lands that you can sell items to for double berries of their normal sell price. It can be pretty bothersome to get to, however.
While I've never used it, I heard that you can repeat the Spy Cards tournament to get a lot of berries quickly.

Spy Card tournament is a net profit of 125 berries with an average time of about 6 minutes (from my experience). That translates to about 20 berries/minute, which is faster than the Crisbee farming method, although there is a risk that early draws are incredibly skewed towards your opponent such that you lose. But the win rate for the tourney with just a reasonable deck is something like 80-90%, so it's overall still probably the better method.

As Saler mentioned above, the Spider NPC is another good farming method. What was not mentioned is that there is an NPC next to the entrance to the Termite Capital that can take you directly to the spider after you visit it one time (I believe this applies even if you skip the side-quest that takes you through the invisible maze blocking the NPC by memorizing the route).

One last method for farming is to play the Termacade mini-games to earn a bunch of tokens, then exchange the tokens for items which can be sold. I've heard people claim this is the fastest means of farming, but it does require you to be decent at the mini-games.

Using Hard Hits the whole game gives you plenty of money and doesn't really increase your monetary costs since you want enemies to never attack you ideally.

Once you get the platinum membership in the bank, it becomes astronomically broken. I think I put like 600 berries in it in small chunks while working towards that membership and had over 4000 by the end of the game.

Do I need a recipe for this? I can't seem to create one... it always becomes a mistake :lilimsob:

You have to complete Crisbee's side-quest (I Wanna Get Better!) to unlock that specific recipe since it's a chef-specific one.

Oh, I see. It seems I somehow skipped that part. thanks!

I recommend the banker option:

Get to the point where you have a couple hundred berries and when you are done playing put them in the bank.

Now the trick is instead of turning off the game, just leave it running in the background. You'll gain interest on the berries for every 30 minutes of game time that passes.

It's compound interest at it's finest and the quickest way to join the Bug Fables 1%***

*** Special terms and conditions may apply; 50 berry processing fee on call new accounts; 10,000 berry cap on all savings accounts; 999 berry limit on withdraws per transaction; Platinum members enjoy additional interest with savings accounts with at least 500 berries

Oh, it goes all the way up to 10k? I assumed it capped out on 999 since that was the max you could deposit/withdraw. Almost 2k berries seems like enough on its own, but I guess I am still only in chapter four, so who knows what silly things you need money for in the end game.

It's nice to have a couple thousand at the end if you're going for 100% completion and would rather buy arcade tokens than farm the arcade games.

I wasn't a fan of the arcade games so i just used the berries to buy the tokens to buy up all the price metals

Or you can just go to the desert room that connects the Golden Settlement entrance and the Lost Sands, go on top of a pillar there, and cut a bush, which will reward you with 5 berries. Leave to the Golden Settlement, enter again, and keep cutting the bush. 70-80 berries per min i think.

I stay still go with the my bank method, all it requires is a little starter berries and leaving the game on while you are away. example 500 berries + 6 hours with game on = 3000 berries, with zero effort.

That’s normal, you can make berry juice for cheaper, make one of the best healing items (or at least in the first fee chapters, a mushroom salad) for 8 berries so, and make an item which does both statuses of the spicy and chilly berries for less berries (aphid shake)
Songbird Mar 6, 2020 @ 8:03pm
Aphid shake only lasts 1 turn so it's hot garbage, though. Spicy Fries last 2 turns + proc Weak Stomach in one item, and Squash Tarts give attack up for three turns, so they're the items you want to boost attack. (Spending a turn to boost defense by 1 is generally not worth the action.)

The items I used most in the game were Spicy Fries, Crisbee Donut, Leaf Omelet, Honey'd Leaf, Poison Cake, and Magic Seed/Miracle Shake (it's a pretty much a strict upgrade once you can make shakes). Spicy Fries and Poison Cake much more than the others after very early game. Most of these are extremely cheap to make.
