Webcam loads upsidedown

I'm playing on my laptop with an integrated camera and the webcam video loads so I'm upside down. There's nothing in the game to fix this and when I check the camera settings for the webcam in the camera app and any other application the camera is orientated correctly. This results in my blinks not being detected at all or it detecting phantom blinks. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?
