Now I will have to play this game again, urggggh. Just to listen. I just remember the whole time of the experience changes for the last scene. I thought I had experienced a ground breaking game just with the eye control mechanic, and then the ending soundscape just seemed to morph and transport me to what felt like a game within a game.
Do we know what inspired this creation? And I know it took long to build, but will there be more soon?
If by creation you mean the game, then yes, a lot went into this that's for sure, and each person on the team put a part of themselves into it. The song Mesh is on spotify btw.
Computer games are experiences, and Before Your Eyes played for me, like a good book. Too many people want games with exploding zombie bodies and play on our search for delight. It takes guts to build a game that does not rely on all of the "gamification" tricks, and lately I have noticed more and more games that explode your brain instead.
Loved it. A real race to find the real meaning at an end that suddenly comes at you on a blind rise. The final chapter that made me go back and start over. It must have taken many long nights to create it. Thanks.
