How long is Reimu's gohei gonna grow to?

The stick has been lengthening at a surprising rate, and I'm unsure of what extent it'll reach. How does it grow like that?

It's not growing, if anything it shrunk since the PC-98 days. I think everyone here forgot how big it was during Highly Responsive to Prayers.
