the game is effectively dead , 85-90% of players play single player , with this opinion the game is NOT dead , however the multiplayer side of the game is dead , furthermore the "combat" in this game is beyond stale and i would go as far as saying that is also dead , if the blasted devs would just re work the AI logic this game and the " op nights with the guys" would be so much more "alive" , what really grinds my gears is the devs are sitting on a GOLD MINE ,this game has a LUDICROUS amount of potential coupled with a cult following and a dedicated modding community this game has gone far and could go even further if the devs just re worked the damn AI , if children from the community can do it there's no good reason they cant .

This. I can understand why they can't update the engine to support multi-core, but there's no excuse for tweaking AI even more as the modders have shown time and time again it's possible to do it.
Some terrible flaws still not taken care of such as lack of basic stealth/ambush mechanics, extreme AI accuracy when player is in a vehicle or AI is manning MGs and cannons, no dynamic camouflage system outside of mods, very poor rearming logic for both infantry and vehicles that still requires unnecessary babysitting etc.

wondering about Arma 4, if your going to keep the current game and add improvements or if by making Arma 4 would you have to start from scratch and destroy most of your work? Have a lot of fun still playing King of the Kill back from 2014 basically, using helicopters/joysticks is the best part compared to even BF2042/any other game.

People say this game is dead, if you don't know where to look then its your problem. I have 3000h in the game and all played in online with a community that puts everything in milsim and rp so ye. (not dead, just find a group of people that you can play with)

People who say game is dead have never been part of organized Arma 3 group. Clans play custom mission usually made by themselves once or twice a week with overall length 2-3 hours and its amazing experience. The rest of the time their server is down or just do testing.

After 9 years vehicles still fly like a butterfly, you can still die just jumping from step or a little rock or just falling inside a rock and many many others never solved well know bugs, its really time to have a decent game, maybe an Arma 3 with new maps new physic new graphic and when possible bug free......

Can't wait for ArmA 4!!!!!!!!!!!!
