I managed to open the ports of my router and now it works like a whistle
go to advanced settings. or where ever you can find either games /services and firewall rules. you want to find PORT FORWARDING.. ADD a new service and name it ARMA3, then Start PORT 2302, END PORT 2303 .set protocol to BOTH. and put in your IPv4 Address.
you can find this by going to your start menu- Type in the Search- cmd press enter then Type ipconfig press enter again. it will tell you your current IPv4, as your ISP may change it time to time this is an easy way to keep an eye on it. as you will need to edit it in your port forwarding if they do change it... ok..
then you need to ADD another Service and call it Steam, put in Start Port 2304 , End Port 2305 protocol BOTH IP etc. and you should now be able to HOST your own private server off your PC. if doesn't work check if the router/modem has PORT Triggering. if so can do much the same but for each one you will put the same port numbers in twice. example. 2302, 2303 ,2302, 2303 protocol Both and choose Enable.
ok I hope this Helps mate.. im confident if you do it right it will..Have Fun.
good luck and god speed
