Helicopter exploding on landing

As per title. Helicopter explodes regardless of how soft the touchdown is or whether it contact an object or not.

I'm trying to complete the single player scenario but every time I land at the base north of Pleiku Airfield the chopper explodes on the landing pad.

Are the hitboxes for the sandbags the size of buildings or something?

I've come across to this from DCS World so I'm not exactly knew to choppers and this is just getting ridiculous. It's the peak of irritating.

I know the Vietnam era helicopters need to land very slow and soft or they go boom. With practice you should be able to land safely, but you should also be able to test whether there is a specific issue at that helipad using the editor I believe.
