Arma 3
nitr0x606 Jun 12, 2018 @ 2:27pm
Player character knocked into unconscious state.
Anyone else have an issue where your player eats the dirt when you log in to play? SP/MP doesn't matter, have tried reinstalling/no mods with no success. Character will lay down like they have been hit but I can look around, access my gear. I have managed to walk around a bit before it happens but if I sprint or try to drag someone the character just lays down in the "unconscious" state. If I respawn I can get back on my feet...until I try to sprint again.

Ive never had this issue before and it just started around the time of the last update. I can be in the fixed wing showcase and when it logs in so you can get on the quad, my character along with the Ai standing in front of me gets knocked into this unconscious state. I've done a fresh install and deleted all saves and mp stuff in the documents, made a new profile, I am not sure what it wants from me at this point. I dont play alot of other games but have had zero issues getting any other ones to work, my arma 2 works just fine. Thanks for the help anyways! If you have time Ill join a server with you and you can see my character eat dirt.

Well, you havn't upload your newly created Arma3profile here.
You didn't deliver the screenshot you have talked about.

See, I am a gamer like you and just want to help.
I don't do official support here BUT if you need to file a bugreport, you can put a link to here and the Devs have more info from the first second on.

I have pointed out that this FADE copy protection can be triggered even when you use only legit technics.

I don't want to read on the 3rd page something like: Virtual machines, a unsupported operating system, unreachable profile on a network, "my brother have used my computer" and whatnot.

You can go through the checklist that I would use for this problem:
- Reproduceable in Vanilla without mods?
- Multiplayer or Singleplayer
- What Mission
- What server
- Can you provide a testmission where it will happen
- Hardwarespecs and OS
- What have been changed recently before this bug happend

Every item on the checklist has been done.

- Yes
- Both SP and MP
- Any missions
- Any server
- I can provide a screenshot or you can join a server and watch it happen in real time.
- Win 10 (full of problems to begin with)
- HAVE NOT CHANGED ANYTHING
- No one uses this rig but me, its legitimately here for ARMA. Thats it.

The servers I have been playing on require NO MODS, I have not changed any files, file locations or added anything to game files.

I do not have recording software to get you a clip, nor am I sure on what you mean by posting my Arma profile ( If you can tell me what to post I'll find it and show it to you).

I will try to get a screenshot of what my character is doing in a few minutes. I have nothing to hide and want to resolve this issue, I'd like to get back to playin with my group. I've already put a ticket in with BIS, I was just picking the community brain to see if this issue has happened to anyone else as I've been scouring forums and asking other players since last month and I seem to be the only one with this problem.

Is it possible for my game to become corrupted?

Single Player Showcase for Fixed Wing it does it right at the start:

This game supports user made missions and even mods created by the community.
All of this makes it necessary to modify the configs of the main program.
You often have colliding mods who are changing the same values.
Some mods have been abandoned but the value in the config is still in.
Some mods may modify the config in a wrong manner.

It is also possible to install mods incorrect but the program will still execute it.

But the game knows how to deal with it:
The debugger will give out meaningful error messages
Game will be resetted and starts with a blank configuration.

When it comes to copy protection / AntiCheat it is better to not communicate it in a public forum.
In this case it is important that such a thing exists but not how to circumsize it.

Sorry, I had overlooked that the Ai is also affected by it.

That citation of yours shows clearly that you are aware where the profiles are saved.
Make a new profile (for research, you can delete it later), change nothing and reproduce the error.
Please post it here, so the Devs or some skilled scripters can watch over it and can tell what the cause is.
(Mod-dependencies, wrong values...)

I appreciate the confidence in my ability but I was following the other persons directions to find that stuff, I know where they are, not what you need.... I just deleted that whole folder and let arma redownload (I've done THAT before for other games) sorry I'm still learning as I go.

I am in the middle of this with BI, I went to their website and sent an email to support with screen shots and a detail of whats going on, waiting on a response, as it is the weekend.

Thanks for all your help.

Edit: I have fixed my bug issue, I ended up needing to clean registry and delete current arma 3 folders and than reinstall. I am currently in game with zero isues, thank you to everyone who helped with this matter.

Having this issue now, by clear registry what do you mean? I have deleted them game and reinstalled and nothing seems to work
nitr0x606 Jul 28, 2020 @ 9:39pm
I used a program called c cleaner to clean registry, than I went to the users section of main drive and deleted ALL arma 3 files. It took me a few tries to find everything but if it has arma 3 in it or on it delete it, than a clean reinstall should work. I was instructed to do this by the support when I emailed them.

Couldn't find what youre talking about, what user section?
nitr0x606 Jul 29, 2020 @ 2:14pm
c drive> users> your user> AppData> Local

in that local area there should be an arma 3 folder, delete it
make sure you have deleted everything and than do a registry clean

If you still have problems support will walk you through it, they helped me fix my issue.
