Private server Admin trying to hack my PC
Has anyone had this happen? I entered a server abd the owner starts telling me what is on my network.

Don't ever go on Private servers. They can always be dangerous. Recommended to go on popular big servers and official servers. Also he's not trying to hack your pc, he is using your ip to look at your network.

Use a firewall that block all incoming traffic.

That's a script kiddie. You need a firewall and network security that is not made out of swiss cheese tossed into a blender and then melted in a microwave.

Seems we have a fault in definition. My definition of a script kiddie is "an amateur hacker with minimal skill outside of running scripts provided in advance", which seems to fit the general definition that most people have. Now, with that in consideration, the guy definitely fits the bill.

He's making use of swiss-cheese network security. Patch it.

Actually, this topic is old as heck. Why are we still here?

If you are really worried, look up "ratting". It's illegal but that fact is ratting is the best defence you have from hackers. That guy most likely ratted you, however you can easily download a RAT (Remote Access Tool) and do it to him due to the fact that you need to port forward in order to host servers, so he pretty much has his front door open.

Next time someone RATs you, RAT them back and just turn their internet off. ;)

If you think someone is going to hack you and harm your computer, contact your ISP and ask for an IP change. They would be happy to help you defend against hackers.

^ Please don't abuse these methods either. If you call up your ISP asking for an IP change too much you would just start to annoy them and if you intend to use a RAT for blackhat hacking then you are really breaking the law. You can use a RAT to take screenshots and stuff so you could send it to the hacker's ISP or VPN. If it's a VPN service they will most likely blacklist them and if it's an ISP they might report the local police.
