Steam Not Installing/Updating Mods
This has been happening for 3 days now. Half of my steam workshop mods are "uninstalled" for some reason. In the Arma 3 launcher there is a yellow symbol next to some of my mods, i have tried to leave the launcher to install my mods, quitting the launcher and letting steam update/install my mods and restarting my steam and computer which have all failed. I also tried unsubscribing from some mods and resubscribing but then they appear at the bottom of the list of mods and don't do anything. At the bottom of the launcher there is a message saying " Waiting for Steam to download mod updates" however nothing is happening. Any Ideas would be appreciated!

TL;DR: Check if your disk is not full.

Had this problem, googled it, found this thread and noticed that my disk was almost full (where Arma is stored on), there was about 4GB left.
After removing and moving some to my other drives I restarted Arma and is started downloading.

Maybe you have the same problem.

Hello,
please check the Download in the Steam client, there should be a row "Arma 3 - Workshop Content" and there may be an install or resume button next to it or the download progress if the Steam is downloading the items.

There aren't any downloads for Arma 3 workshop. However I recently got several Arma 3 workshop updates but they are very small and when I go to view what is being downloaded, nothing is listed. I checked to see if any mods were then installed but nothing changed.

Could you please report the issue on the our Feedback tracker: http://feedback.arma3.com/ and upload the logs from the Launcher? If you open the app menu (hamburger menu) in the top right corner in the Launcher window, click on the "Export Launcher logs".

It'd be nice if you'd actually post the solution to the damn problem. I'm having this same issue and I have no resolution to the problem. I've tried searching for help, restarting steam, unsubbing, etc. What the hell is the issue here?

Possibly this:

LAUNCHER
  • Fixed: Unable to start BattlEye Launcher if its compatibility settings force the system to elevate it ("Run this program as an administrator" is set in the arma3battleye.exe compatibility settings)

0x00000035 - ERROR_BAD_NETPATH

One of the possible reasons for this message is running Steam as an administrator and starting Launcher as a regular user. If this situation occurs, Launcher may display a "Updates unavailable - Steam is not running" message in its status.

Possible solutions:
  • Run the game from Steam client by clicking on the Play button (not from a shortcut nor directly from an executable).
  • Exit Steam and run as a regular user (instead of running it as an administrator).
  • Run the game or the Launcher from a shortcut or from an executable as an administrator.
  • Restart Steam.
  • Restart the computer.

Is there any fix for this?

Go to Steam > Settings > Downloads, and change your Download restrictions. I changed it to all day with no Limit and it started downloading.

Thanks, but the devs made a dev branch update that fixed it.

Check to see in the launcher where you are saving your mods...I was using a separate partition up until recently, and once i got rid of that partition, I forgot to set the default mod location back to the default one, so steam wouldnt download or install any mods because it couldn't find the folder I had listed as the download location.
What is the point of the workshop if steam refuses to download the mods?

I had the same issue.

It's easy to fix once you know how. :P

Go to your Download settings in steam (Where you set download speed limit and times) and simply click on the "Clear Download Cache" button.

Steam will close. Restart and viola! Sorted!

I think what happened in my case is that the DL actually cvompleted (ARMA did DL 30GB the prev day.) but the "announcement" that it was complete didn't get "sent" to the Launcher.

doesnt work either. I hope bohemia will come up with their own system for arma 4 and not rely on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ steam anymore.
