What we offer
Loosely based off of the 4th ICBT (Currahee) of the 101st Airborne Division, the 61st Mechanized Infantry Battalion is a tight-knit community that is devoted to creating a unique, immersive, and memorable ARMA 3 experience. Between Fun Ops for every flavor to dynamic, long-term campaigns directed by a team of Story Writers and executed by skilled Zeuses, the 61st Mechanized Infantry is here to bring you an immersive, modern US Combined Arms experience to the game. Using combined arms tactics with Infantry, Armored/Mechanized and Aviation support, the 61st offers a uniquely tactical, cooperative, and powerful Mil Sim unit for those looking for a semi-realistic, immersive, and tactics-focused Arma 3 community. If you want to enjoy a semi-realistic unit with heavy emphasis on cooperation and unit tactics, and a unit with plenty of positions for you to get the most joy out of your Mil Sim experience, then the 61st is the unit for you! We are now running a new dynamic main campaign, Leadership, rather then the zeus will pick the operation for that main op, and will plan based on the current state of the conflict. They will also be responsible for shifting friendly greenfor, blufor units, and depending on success or failure will impact the campaigns landscape.

To provide the fullest Arma 3 experience, the 61st maintains additional support detachments to work hand-in-hand with the main infantry element.
Outlaw Platoon
Outlaw is our foundational Infantry detachment specializing in mechanized and tactical armored warfare. Everything from Anti-Vehicle operations to air assault and CQB. Every operation will have Outlaw members running, so if you are looking for the more front lines feel, then look no further than Outlaw.
Rhino
Rhino is our engineer detachment, they are are qualified to not only help repair our damaged vehicles to get them back in the fight. They are also in charge of everything that goes BOOM! From defusing I.E.Ds, Anti-Tank, anti personnel mines, and other mind wire obstacles.
Phoenix
Phoenix is our Army Aviation detachment. Their main prerogative is to assist all detachments on the field in any way possible. Phoenix utilizes the UH-60 Black Hawk and the CH-47 Chinook as their main methods of transportation. Phoenix also has access to the well known AH-64 Apache which specializes in fast and precise air strikes to eliminate enemy threats on the ground and in air as well as fixed wing fighters including the A-10 Warthog, AC-130 Spectre Gunship, F-22 Raptor, and various others.
Perseus
Perseus is our Army Medical Detachment. The main goal of an Arma medic on the field is to keep combat effectiveness among the squads as high as possible. The beauty of Perseus in the 61st is that all Medics are trained to operate in both infantry capacities as well as in MEDEVAC situations. A Perseus Medic is versatile and one of the key roles needed to have a successful Arma operation. Our medical units utilize KAT Medical.
Thunder
Thunder is our armored section which is comprised of our custom mechanized vehicles and the M1A3 main battle tank. If you wish to provide close infantry fire support, or hard hitting destruction, then Thunder is the place for you.
Naval Special Warfare Development Group [A3] Realism Unit (DEVGRU) is a campaign-based Milsim unit based in the Modern Day Universe dedicated to bringing you a fun and immersive experience and the chance to join a new community. We have a large selection of specialties to pick from and gain access to more as you progress through the ranks.

As a semi-realism unit we take the more serious stand on its play style during OP's, however we make sure it's enjoyable and that we can share a laugh while having fun, and we are not a unit that forces you to call us by our rank, or force you to salute us, all we ask is that when your in the AO, your switched on, focused, and listening to your team leaders.
We run campaign based operations lasting a minimum of 1 month at a time and can run up to a maximum of 3 hours long.

The Green Rifle Division started as a relaxed group of friends who play Arma who have been doing so for about 6 years now and are building a community.
We play more casually than most milsims. We focus on enjoying the game as it's a video game, not a real-life war. but still have structure in the unit!
Operations!
Operations are held on Saturdays and Sundays 7 PM EST
some ops are hosted on weekdays as fun ops or community missions if other people wish to Zeus, as someone who made missions for years now every mission is made with balance and story and is built for performance, scripts are used in all my missions to grant the players the best experience they can get in Arma
Requirements!
We are very laid back we don't force attendance. We don't do basic training because it's cringe-worthy. If you are new, we can offer you help, but we are here just to play the game. anyone is free to join!

We play Modern, we don't stick to one nation and move around to how the community wants, we try not to make the mod pack big and only add what's needed
No need to have to talk to a recruiter just join you will get a ping about the discord then download the mod pack and start playing!

About us:
We are a Realistic unit with many years of experience that emulates the Common Soldier during WW2 and throughout history.
This group was founded and built upon a friendly and laid back atmosphere as we prioritize fun and realism through our missions
and campaigns. Currently the unit is fighting with our fraternal brothers in Yugoslavia, come join us as we explore conflicts and battles from the past, future and beyond.

My name is Tuff, I am a part of the 85th! The 85th "Blitz" Battalion is a rapidly-expanding StarSim community. We recruit Star Wars and Arma 3 fans to the front lines of the Clone Wars to see what it's like to be a clone firsthand. As a community we aim to provide a welcoming atmosphere in which you can make new friends and welcome old ones. The 85th hopes to offer a fun, yet semi-serious environment for all players. We offer a variety of different play styles such as troopers who can advance through the ranks, medics treating the wounded in the midst of battle, and radio operators calling in air strikes. We are primarily a U.S. Eastern based unit, but we try to ensure that our times will allow members from across the globe to participate. Our rank structure is fairly simple and climbing the rank tree does not take super long. We have three different rank trees, Enlisted, NCO, and Officer. Each of these categories require specific billets to enter the tree. Enlisted is standard members, NCO's possess knowledge and training to be in leadership positions within the unit, and Officers receive specialized training to be able to function at platoon leadership both on and off the field. We’re a company-sized unit composed of 3 dynamic platoons and a variety of specialized detachments. Whether you're into fast-paced action, stealthy recon, or support roles, it's easy to find your niche in Arma with the 85th!
