Is Arma 3 ever coming to ps4?

I was going to say that there are to many complications for it to be ported to consoles, but after doing some research, it looks like it can be possible. Just this problems:

Not enought buttons on controller.
No fan base for simulators, Arma 3 is not a casual game and noncasual games don't sell well.

Bohemia has made Operation Flashpoint: Elite available for consoles in november of 2005, which is similar to arma, but they stop porting games to consoles since then.

Let's hope not. Consoles destroyed PC gaming with their inferior gameplay. ARMA is a PC game.

I believe this was forced onto them by their then publisher and was the reason for the big legal battle and falling out. I played Operation Flashpoint on both PC and XBox and thought both versions were amazing.

While there were limitiations in the Xbox version, it showed that it could be done. Arma 2 was initially advertised in the build up to release as coming to next gen consoles but this never materialised.

The thing that bothers me the most when people say the controller doesn't have enough buttons (and I'm not having a go at you) is that you can plug a USB keyboard into a 360 and type away, I believe it worked on PS3 too.

All that said, releasing this game on consoles would probably be about as good idea as releasing on steam ;p

They would have to make a completely different game in order for it to work.

please no... look at what porting to console did to the Call of Duty and Battlefield franchises (believe it or not, once upon a time there were actual tactical realism clans for CoD - like original CoD up until Modern Warfare whichever one that was... remember that Battlefield 2 was the first of the BF series on console and they weren't super popular/primarily console-focused until BF3)... they also made some spinoffs of Operation Flashpoint for console that failed quite horribly... I own OfP: Dragon Rising for 360 and it isn't terrible but it certainly isn't good either and there is basically zero multiplayer to speak of... if you think you want Arma on console go check that one out then ask yourself if you still feel the same way lol

I don't know if they will but I run ARMA 3 with crappy specs so I'm sure the PS4 could handle it. They would have to cut some controls.

1 word dragon rising, consoles when elite came out was a lot closer to pc power wise then today, I think be terrible waste of resources and yeah likes been said look what happened to rainbox 6 ghost recon COD BF console destroyed all those titles, wouldnt be caught dead playing those games now.

look how much nerd rage BI get from PC kids now, times that by 1000 for console, dayz more likely but still see same issues.

And imo the heart and soul of arma is the editor mods scale and scripting all of which would be gone with console release, then it just be enougher dragon rising.

arma3 is a realism based army game this means talking over radio setting boms, deactivate boms look men this is not battelfield4 there is no way you can combine arma3 in a controller

Couldn't even launch is abit ott, xbox is windows 10 64bit, even my £150 windows tablet can launch it, runs like poo but can still launch it with about 20% of the power a console has
