Mods = less FPS?
Hello how are you?
please, I use 184 mods on my ArmA3, and I have a drop to 19 fps, is this normal? is there a way to solve this without removing the mods?

Using insane amounts of mods decreases FPS, yes. Especially if the mod is badly optimized. There are many many many many different factors that influence FPS so I cannot give you a definite answer, but, yes, theoretically using too many mods is a bad idea.

Arma III is already a memory hog. With 184 mods loaded I'm surprised it even runs. You must have 32 GB or more, because you can't load that many with just 16 GB of RAM.

Unless you are building missions, if you load more than ~20 or so mods you are loading too many.

I build missions all the time and the number of mods I use varies depending on the map I'm using. The Tanoa map is one that uses the most mods at around ~50 mods. Most of the mods I use for mission building don't include dependencies, so by the time I'm finished the player may only need 5 to 10 mods to play the mission.

Why do you need so many mods?

I have 128GB of memory.
I use a lot of mods because for me ArmA 3 sucks at vanilla, and the mods are the only thing that improves the game a little bit, things that the company should have done from the beginning, the mods went there and did.
Ex: maps, weapons, vehicles from ArmA2.

That explains how you are able to load so many mods.

I agree with you that the vanilla game lacks content and the mods do indeed help flesh out the game more, in addition to adding more functionality. I certainly have nothing against mods, I generally don't find a need to play with more than a dozen or so, unless I'm creating missions.

I use the CUP mods all the time, specifically for the maps, but even when you include all the CUP mods you are still talking less than half-dozen. I also like the D3S vehicles mod for their variety of civilian and police vehicles. I'm subscribed to 141 mods in total, I just don't use more than a dozen at a time unless I'm building missions.

I'm trying to understand why you need to have 184 mods active at once. That makes no sense to me.

Considering the OP isn't willing to offer an explanation, I'll go with yours.

The solution is obvious, don't load 184 mods at one time. There is no reason for it, as your inability to articulate one demonstrates.

so there is no way to make the game work correctly with 184 mod?

Some of mods, actually can make FPS drop.

All mods make your FPS drop because they all consume memory. A few garbage-collecting mods can improve your FPS by freeing up memory.
