Performance on ryzen 7 2700x (yet another arma 3 benchmark)
Hello people!

Could someone with similar settup help me verify my performance information

My setup:
Asus prime x370 pro mmotherboard
ryzen 7 2700x
Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 2060 Xtreme
6G
18gigs of 3200 ram ("overclocked" to actually run 3200)

On yet another arma 3 benchmark I get 43 fps (standard setting)

Im posting this question since in COOP multiplayer (60 player server) I get pretty low fps (20-30) and it can be pretty jumpy

Your CPU and graphics card are more than capable of handling Arma III. I couldn't tell if you had 8 GB or RAM or 16 GB or RAM from your OP.

Arma III is a memory hog, and 8 GB of RAM is the absolute minimum required to run Arma III.

It is pretty obvious that your view distance is set too far away for the amount of memory you have. It explains why you are getting less than 60 FPS.
  • First, reduce your viewing distance to something under 2.5 km.
  • Second, limit the number of mods you are loading.
  • Third, if you are still getting less than 60 FPS, use a garbage collecting mod, like:

Alaaskan Glitch im using 16gb of ram. My viewing distances in game are 2040 overal and 1300 object. Atm I am running no mods but il happily try out the garbage collector and see if that help :)

With 16 GB of RAM, with no mods loaded, and a view distance of only 2 km, I'm at a loss as to why you shouldn't be getting better than 60 FPS.

I'm running a Ryzen 7 3700X, a GTX 1080, with 32 GB of RAM. Even with 50+ mods loaded I'm getting between 70 and 80 FPS. My overall viewing distance is set to 2.5 km, and my object viewing distance is 1.5 km. And that is without using a garbage collecting mod.

NOTE: The Advance Garbage Collector works by changing all the dead bodies to the same object (a dead body in a body bag) which reduces the amount of memory consumed. It won't help improve your FPS if you have no dead bodies. So only use AGC if your FPS starts out fine, and then drops when you start killing AI. If your FPS starts out poor at the very beginning of the game, then using AGC will not help.

I just did.

With 20 mods loaded, a view distance of 2.5 km, an object distance of 1.5 km, and a shadow distance of 150 meters, I'm getting 143-144 FPS with just Options open. That was with all the options set to the highest possible settings.

When I run one of my missions, which are loaded with a bunch of objects, my FPS drops by about half.

Your graphics card is better than mine, but Arma III is not a graphic intense game. It is a memory hog with unbalanced threading. Any Ryzen 7 can handle it easily. The only real difference between your PC and mine is memory.

My profile name is "Mac."

Like I said, that drops to just about half, or somewhere between 70 FPS and 80 FPS when I'm actually running a mission and not just in Options.

That is not YAAB! And that is what the op is asking for.
I can also look at the floor and get over well over 150fps

It might help if you use English. The closest I can figure "YAAB" means is the Somali word for "surprise," " astonishment," or "wonder." And since when did you start speaking for the Op?

And also is in the title of the thread, It is the most known Arma 3 benchmark tool there is!🤦‍♂

Really no need to act defensively, It is such a simple request the op asked from you twice.

I provided the OP with another benchmark. I also provided YOU with a screenshot that supported my prior post, which the OP did not ask for. Yet that was not good enough for YOU. How damn arrogant can you get?
Are you trolling?

I asked as op asked you for to run a YAAB benchmark, You said "I just did." and then said 143fps, if hadn't of asked the op might be thinking he should be getting 143fps in YAAB too, Good job i did ask to clear things up, Really not sure why you're being so hostile? I have no problem with your benchmark just wanted to make sure the op wasn't lead down the wrong path that's all.

Could you atleast do the YAAB benchmark for the op? As that is the only thing that is going to help with his question.
