How to set player rank?
Hello, first of all I'm new to the game

I wonder how to set my own player rank to Captain or Major since I like to play around with Sandbox SP and it's kinda odd for having Sergeant as Tank Platoon leader commanding an officer

I read somewhere that all I need is to open debug console but can't figure it out

Help, thanks

The whole game is a sandbox, what are you playing when you play, are you in the editor?

I was playing that Dynamic Universal mod just to play around with the game.
I was playing SP and not on the editor

So does the debug console only work on the editor?
If you are referring to the Dynamic Universal War System (DUWS) mod, then you gain rank by earning Command Points (CP). You earn CPs by completing the randomly generated tasks, or taking and holding one of the objectives. Taking one of the objectives will award you 20 CPs, and after holding it for ~10 minutes, you gain another 3 CP. That is cumulative for each objective you take and hold.

If you have purchased Special Units, the only way to increase their level is by completing the randomly generated tasks. Each completed task will give each of your units 10 points, which you can spend on their attributes.

As you gain rank in DUWS you will be awarded with additional abilities and support services. However, you cannot manually establish your rank, you must earn it by earning CPs.

Check out this video from Phronk, hes a known coder/scripter
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYxAl7JqN9w
as he was saying in the video about here at 3:40 he clicks on the exclamation on the council
which takes you to all the commands for the game, each command has its own page on how to use it with examples.
This is the code you want https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/setUnitRank

Ya the debug console only works through the editor.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
