Cyrus 9.3mm?
I was just curious as to which weapon the Cyrus (from the Marksman DLC) is based off of. What I mean is, for example, the SPMG is based off the Gen. Dynamics LWMMG, and the Navid based off the HK MG5 (two guns looking near-exactly like their real-world counterparts).

There are plenty of other guns if you've noticed based off of other guns, like the CMR-76 (QBU-88), LIM-85 (M249 variant), etc.. I was curious as to which gun the Cyrus is based off of, because it's an interesting-looking rifle. The ArmA Wiki states it's based off the the SVDK Russian anti-materiel rifle, which it looks little to nothing like.

Perhaps it is based off of it in comparable role (as the SVDK does use 9.3x64mm as well), while the in-game model itself has been built from scratch. The Mk-I EBR is similar, seemingly based off of the SIG 556 series of rifles (which it looks somewhat similar to, but differs in calibre. If anyone knows what this is based off of in design, that'd be awesome, too), while having a unique design.

Sorry for the complicated question, I'm really just simply curious and enjoy the look of it.

Thanks!

The Cyrus is the only truly fictional weapon in the game, which does kind of suck when they could have taken a real design like the rest of the weapons- It's supposed to be a mash-up of a SVD somehow, and it's made in Chernarus (written on the side.)
Other weapons-

Name Ingame - Description and real name. Production Date.

RIFLES-
MX- CMMG designed rifle based on the ACR. The GL is a 'Metal Storm' Australian prototype 3GL launcher, never produced in high numbers. The MX was never produced as a combat weapon, only singular prototypes.

The ASP-1 KIR is a mix between the VSS (design) and VSK (round/ size)
The Type 100 is based on the IOCW, but exchanging the 20mm grenade launcher for a 50. Beowolf underslung for anti-material work- the round looses a heap of velocity and power at longer ranges, but is very effective against lighter vehicles.

that one actually does look fairly similar to the cyrus.

Oh that's actually pretty cool- Havent seen that photo before. Looks like it's a 2012ish SVD with some Magpul parts on it. I've done some research on the caliber the Cyrus uses- It's a modified 9.3 'Brenneke' round, originally for hunting- The Russians have adopted it a special purpose sniper round, mainly for penetrating body armor or through cover at closer ranges compared to the normal SVD round.
So far it's only used in the SVDK IRL, but a SVDK could pretty easily be turned into a rifle looking like the one above.

Look's like I'll have to take back my whole 'Cyrus is a fictional weapon' - I was looking for military rifles, not aftermarket parts kits.
