That beeing said I still think most of the older equipment (RHS and such) makes for more interesting and maybe more balanced gameplay.
so I can say it's more advanced than futuristic. After all 2035 isn't that far.
Well its not too much future for me to totally dislike.
In Arma 2 you could clearly tell what the imagined Countrys are supposed to be... and sometimes they are quite "foreshadowing" for reality.... Arma2 Campaign is basically Russia annexing Crim.... And the Arrowhead campaign... well look at the Map of Takistan, its Iraq and Kuwait.
And in Arma 3.... Stratis is Cyprus... or at least they had Cyprus in Mind here...the Greek Names show this too.... So its still based on a realistic in our time based Conflict.
Stratis resembles the greek island "agios efstratios" which is merely a fraction of the size of cyprus. Altis is modeled after "Limnos".
this thread on BI forums, it goes through each asset in the game those being weapons, vehicles etc,. and shows an actual pic of the real thing.

How goes it Tajin, been missing you on BI forums.
I'm kind of lacking the time to dabble in scripting as much as I used to, so I also stopped checking forums at some point.
I bet people are still mostly asking the same questions anyway ^^
come and visit it some time, lol
