Arma 3
Which Arma 3 bundle should I buy?
Hello, like title says I'm wondering which Arma 3 package should I buy?
There are so many of them and my biggest concern is do I have to own all those "helicopter, marksman etc." dlc's in order to play online on most of the servers?
What if I just get normal arma 3 version, will I be kicked from servers which has those dlc's?
Thank you.

I've been doing my research, as I'm brand new to Arma 3 as well! From what I've found out, the base game can be plenty good as a singleplayer experience, and you can do some multiplayer stuff too.

However, for the best multiplayer experience, the consensus seems to be that Apex Edition is your best bet right now, and that's what I got.

Apparently everybody uses the new map it comes with, and it has a ton of content. It also includes a bunch of DLC like helicopters and marksman, which I hear are very good. (And karts, I mean...karts!)

What I also found out, is that the Ultimate Edition scales depending on what you already have. I got Apex Edition, and now Ultimate is ~$37 I think? So if, like me, you want to play the game first before deciding to plunk a huge chunk of cash on it, you can probably complete your collection when the next big sale comes around. :)

Apex Edition is the best "all around experience" though, without including a ton of "Mixed Reviews" DLC you might not even be sure you want yet.

From what I've gathered, you can get Apex Edition, grab near-limitless mods, and play with just about anybody without running into a ton of "You need this DLC!" pop-ups.

If anybody who's actually played the game has any insight, it'd be most welcome though. XD

Okay, thank you so much for your hard work that you've put into this text:D I've already bought Arma3 Apex, and price wise, it's not that expensive and yeah, you can enjoy playing on almost every server.

Yeah, it's very interesting and addicting too:D Recently I've been playing on a server called King of the Hill, and you can be a pilot there to fly other players to fighting point, but it's hard to control helicopters, so you need to put a lot of time and effort in order to have high reputation and trust from other players:D.
