next, there is map, to set up approach points or lines. and ofc there is GPS panel to view them.
third, there is some rules of approach, like when do first turn, second, third and final. You can google it, it is no copmplex matter.
and I heared, that view distance set to 4-5 km helps too.
Draw a line on the map to mark your approach path and watch for that on your GPS.
Set full flaps, reduce throttle and especially do not forget about the airbrake on your wipeout. It is really effective and allows you to bleed off speed quickly, which makes landing a lot easier.
Personally I'd say within 2km you still have good time to react, otherwise you're probably going way too fast.
Hey, thank you for your response! Yeah I don't really trust the autopilot, and I kind of just want to learn it myself for when I can not use it. I've just recently figured out the "line" method actually and it's helping me out a ton. I've never heard of this "Air-Brake" feature, could you tell me how to use it? I usually try to start slowing down 5km out and just slowly reducing throttle with flaps down obviously.
Just tested it out and that helped me greatly! Thank you all for helping me out, I appreciate it.
Anyway, I'd recommend to at least scroll through the keybinds from time to time, to see if you've missed something important. (for example, few people know that you can rebind the driving controls for cars to analogue steering, which makes driving with a mouse a lot better (to me at least))
ps.: You do know about the targeting pod though, right ?
Never heard of it?
