Current Sale Price vs Steam Winter Sale Price

I've got limited funds but I really want to buy the game. I can wait until Winter Sale though if the Apex Edition will be the same price or cheaper. So do you guys have any ideas if it'll be any cheaper during the Winter Sale (current price is $23 and $13 for regular), or this current price is as good as it'll get for now?

Also, is it true the game is basically dead?

Yes, I've googled it/youtubed it, had my friend test out the game on my hardware etc and it runs well enough for me. :)

I just need to know if waiting a few weeks or until Winter Sale will give me a considerably higher discount/sale, if not, I'll just get it now. :)

That's good to know! I played like an hour on my friends account a few months ago and I loved every moment of it. The realism was jarring to get used to, but it was great.

So should I wait for the Anniversary Sale on the 12th, Autumn sale (don't know when or if they'll do this) or the Winter Sale? I'd like to know before the sale runs out and I haven't really been on Steam all that long, so I don't know how big the sales/discounts normally get.

If anyone could at least tell me what the price was for the last Summer Sale or Winter Sale, that'd be great. :)

That's good to know! I played like an hour on my friends account a few months ago and I loved every moment of it. The realism was jarring to get used to, but it was great.

It is a military simulator. If you want realism in a shooter, this is it. There are also dozens of servers hosting many different modes that alter the "point" of the game, like Day-Z, Atlis Life (more like Sims/Life RPG I guess), KOTH and a hell of a lot more.

The change in controls might be difficult for you at first, but once you get used to it, the game becomes addicting! :)

I went ahead and bought it! $23 for Apex Edition was just too good no matter how I cut it.
Waiting for deeper sales just didn't feel right at the end of the day anyways, especially since I know for a fact I love the game. haha

This topic is old. Of course the price went back up. The sale is over. However, during the next sale, base game will be $13, Apex should be $19 or $20 again. That's not too much for a good game.
