Zeus AI in planes

I was wondering if there's a way to make AI planes take off in Zeus when told to do so. So far they've driven to their objective rather then fly.

Place the plane on a taxi way, or runway directly and it should taxi or immediately begin rolling down the runway for take off.. Otherwise, as Zeus you can hold Left ALT and raise the planes altitude, it will begin flying immediately once released.

Placing a plane on the ground but not on a taxiway or runway will result in the plane running into objects or trees.
