2d editor patch/mod

Any chance to create some patch(downgrade?) or mod to return fully equiped vanilla 2d editor? 3d editor is terribly player unfriendly, taking large amount of time to even create few troops and some waypoints (take it 40 minutes).

if it takes you 40 minutes to click and drag units/waypoints around then your doin something wrong or you have parkinson's

You are missing some really basics. When Eden opened, it takes about 10 seconds to put down unit or group and give them waypoints. In 40 minutes, with decent editor skills, you should be able to do a full "medium" size mission. From start to finish.

@Ikarian, The old 2D editor isn't deleted. Select the map in main menu in editor tab and press CTRL+O combination

I know about this 2d "editor", but it was very trimmed. Because of Eden editor, I returned to play Arma2, but I hoped since that time, someone got idea to return only player-friendly editor.

Yeah, probably, but its very boring and annoying, so I returning to Arma2. Few days ago, I tried it again to work in Eden editor and it was very similar results. I played OFP, Armed Assault, Arma2 and DLC and Arma3 until they messed editor. :(

40 minuts would be time for some small size mission even in classical editor, for medium, its approx. 60-80 minuts, with Eden editor, its approx. infinite time. :(

in eden its even quicker lol. besides only new guys use the editor for anything for than object placement anyways :P

But this is "that" 2D editor. It's not eden editor. It's an 2D editor from OFP, ARMA 1 and ARMA 2. Just with more features and a bit re-done. Pressing CTRL+O calls the 2D editor

Can also just press M for for the 2d editor.

Just switch between the two. I switch between 3d and 2d constantly when im making a scenario
