ImageToPAA or TexView 2 ;)

You most likely use an unsupported image size, so the tools doesn't recognize it. From the page:

mportant note: All input textures must have resolution 2^x / 2^y (e.g. 16 / 16, 32 / 32, 64 / 64, 256 /256). The largest texture size commonly supported by graphics cards and RV engine is 4096x4096, in future, larger could be possible and it is already supported in Pal2PacE. However, some textures which don't respect these rules might be converted via TexView 2 (right click, open with TexView).

Respecting that, I can use ImageToPAA without any issues.

For the loading screen you don't need .paa file. I always use default .jpg for that (best resolution is 1024x512 so it fits into the box)

Paint.NET, Gimp, Photoshop etc.

Use Crop tool or set Canvas Size to supported resolution, you can find those on the link above.

Put this in your mission description.ext "loadScreen = "images\YOURPICTURE.jpg";" and make sure the picture is jpg. I assume you know to place the picture inside the folder called "Images" in your mission folder, but i write it just to be sure.

Also dont put the " " at the end of the loadScreen = "images\loadScreen.jpg"; sorry about that.
