Making ambush (AI keep giving position away)
I'm relatively new to ARMA3 in general but was interested to test out the editor game in ambush. I just want the AI to not move until the waypoint is activated which results in IED exploding taking out the first car halting the convoy and ambush begins. But before the convoy reached the point, AI already started exposing themselves ruining it. When the IED gone off, all the ambushers I set around the point (suppose to rush into the point surrounding) just waits there like they're defending and get mow down by better firepower and moving armored vehicle. Also how do I force AI to shoot their RPG?

Put a waypoint right in front of wherever the group is hiding. Set the waypoint behavior to stealth and force hold fire. Set a second waypoint at the ambush site using open fire and aware behavior. Create a trigger and use whatever conditions you need to in order to have them wait until the IED goes off or whenever you want them to move. Set the trigger activation to the first waypoint.

To get the AI to force fire weapons you need to do some scripting using commands like forceWeaponFire. This thread has more infomation: https://forums.bistudio.com/forums/topic/176474-force-ai-to-fire-launcher/

Tried it. After the IED went off, they just stay there.
I'm assuming you are using a trigger and a waypoint skip for this so this is how I would do it in your case: Have the units hidden behind the hill/house or whatever you're using. Have the waypoint on hold and then 1 waypoint to move and 1 waypoint to S&D....both the Hold and the Move waypoint should be set to unit behaviour careless so they ignore the sound of the vehicles approaching...IED going off or shots etc...... then the S&D changes their behavious to either Combat or Aware....keep in mind 'careless' will have them not react to seeing enemies at all so you should have the MOVE waypoint with careless only up until the hilltop/corner of the house where they expose themselves.

The hold point stop them from even moving, so I just put move (careless) - S&D (aware or combat). Strolling around happily (which is funny), IED explode and they ran atleast half the distance between their starting point to the ambush site and started shooting. Though they didn't win but still, better than what I did before. Thanks man

Then you did something wrong, because it will work as I described if you set it up correctly.

Jester's video may help you if you are still struggling with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cQ3C-4W_BI

Its pretty much what you are trying to create minus the rpg shot.

The above video shows the old editor however all is more or less the same in 3den.
