Trigger text message shown for ONLY ONE player?

I could use some expertise on how to solve a problem of mine.

I have a trigger that can be activated by any player. When the trigger fires it shows a message and currently that message is shown for everyone.

Question: How can I make it so a text message is only shown for the player who activates the trigger?

triggers have global effects so that's why everyone gets the message.

for local effect only you may try to replace the default trigger condition "this" with "player in thislist"
