Could someone explain to me how to make an sqf for my multiplayer map? (more in the description)

but i do not know what an sqf is or how to make one...

Open up notepad and paste in what you need.

File → Save As → Save as type: All types → name the file something.sqf

Either one of these two

~\Documents\Arma 3\missions
~\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\**IGN**\missions

There is a button somewhere in the FILE menu that takes you there too :)

great i have found it! however one problem stands in my way.... i open it in notepad++ and i see (NUL, ETX, BEL and SOH) everywhere. Whats is going on and do u know how to fix it?

You sould not open the mission.sqm with the editor, leave that file be or you could mess up your mission fast ;)

Open a new file Notepad++, hit Save as and then type

"nameOfYourScript.sqf"

WITH the quotes. Then the file will be saved as .sqf. Write your scripts in that file and/or create more files with different scripts in it.

And I still tell you: STOP MESSING WITH THE MISSION.SQM. You will only break things if you work in that one. Leave it be
