Headless client for single player?

I’m just wondering if it’s possible to set up a headless client for single player, without doing LAN. I know Antistasi does it, but I haven’t found a way to do it myself.

you can, but you will need plenty of memory and very powerful processor, because if you don't want LAN, only option is to start headless client on your own computer.

Will an i7 8700k do @ 4.7 ghz?, also will I see a performance gain when dealing with 70-80 AI?

well, may be, but second Xeon is better ^). Mind you, this client would take the same prosessor core's time to function. so may be a small gain, but not much. also, I missed the part about singleplayer. I'm not sure. this thread ( https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/213158-headless-client-for-singleplayer/ ) says that it will work for dedicated server.

Well, I was trying to incorporate it into a single player scenario. I just noticed Antistasi was able to set it up for single player and was intrigued. Thank you for the help.

And no you can't set up HC for Singleplayer like for the vanilla campaign. It has to be a mulitplayer session (even if you play just locally eg. Apex Campaign), that's what Antistatsi also does afaik.
