Linux + Joystick

I can't get my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro to show up in the controller section of the configuration menu. I have it plugged and recognized in Ubuntu but in game, nothing. Any Linux users who also have a stick have any suggestions?

- does Ubuntu see the joystick (e.g. the related /dev/... device gets created if you attach the joystick)?

Thanks for the links. I still haven't found a solution so I will check these out. I can see it in Ubuntu, just not in game for some reason.

Manage to set up my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro with following procedure:
1. Launch Big picture
2. Go to settings->controllers->add
3. Set up ur joystick
4. Launch arma and u should see ur joystick in menu
5. After setting controls in arma it is not neccessary to lauch arma in BigPicture

-BigPicture is very buggy (linux) be sure to save controller setup
