Mod Launcher
Hi, I noticed that the launcher (on steam) does not respect your mod order once a new mod is inserted, even with a saved mod layout. This forces me to change 40+ mod orders all over again every time I load a new mod. Is there a setting to disable auto sorting?

Additionally, I find that although I have saved a mod profile, every time I play the game, it defaults to its pre-defined order right before startup. Is this by design?

Are you referring to the Arma3 Launcher? (Steam does not have a load order sort function) I've used the Arma3 Launcher since I got the game, and it always remembers my load order, but yeah you could turn auto sort off, see if that helps.

Ok, yeah, the launchers are kinda confusing as there are over THREE of them. I am talking about the one you are greeted with when opening Arma 3 with steam i.e.(not A3Launcher, or any of the other third party launchers) And that is interesting that it remembers your mod order! because it surely doesn't remember mine! could you tell me where that auto sort option is? I've looked everywhere. Thanks!

*edit* hope this helps --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtWirgZninE

I agree with ARmodder. I have used this version of the Bohemia ArmA 3 Launcher since it was first released, and it has always remembered the mod order.

If that is giving you a problem, then I would suggest you arrange your mods in the order you want them then select "More" from the menu above and export your mod file list. That way if your launcher has not remembered your mod order you won't have to select 40+ mods, you just need to import your mod list.

*Update* I am going to try a fresh install, even when I load a preset to file, I am unable to import that file to the launcher as the option under 'preset' is greyed out, is any one else having these ridiculous issues??

If they are still relative to a problem now then it's much better than starting a new thread waiting for people to say the same things over again if you even get any replies!
There is no need to respond like you have when there is no logic behind your reasoning.

If the thread is more than a year old then it is never relevant, and a new thread needs to be started. Necros who open old dead threads only get angry replies because the idiot didn't check the date.
