After each new patch the mods doesnt work or make many problems. In arma2 it was much more better, but arma3 is horrible for modding. And you cant do the same in arma3 like in arma2.
To place some objects for example make many problems in arma3 (or isnt possible) that works in arma2.
But for all the stupid altis life kiddies or KOTH-idiots ist arma3 good enough.Yes,for such very simple gamemodes arma3 is perfect.
But arma3 have much more potential as a stupid Teamdeathmatch-shooter or lifesimulator.
I play since ofp and now i must see the great misim goes to a very idiotic mainstream-kiddie-plattform full with idiotic non-milsim mods/missions.
And my last hope are the modders, but many very good modders stop their work. And the performce in multiplayer is horrible too (but lol many blind fanboys mean arma3 runs better then arma2).The modders have made many test and they say that arma2 can handle much more ai then arma 3.
The engine is too old to handle all the new stuff in arma3. But you will find many blind fanboys they think they will know more about the engine then the modder they mod since many years. But such idiots will not understand this.
Fact is you find no good CTI in arma3 or you will not have such a good performance like in arma2-cti.
And a very big mistake is too look at the frame-counter! Sometimes the "feeling" of the performance is not smooth, for example in towns with some soldiers/vehicles,but the framecounter shows 40.
But it not feels smooth,40 frames is not like 40 frames (feeling). Cant explain it very well in english, but when you play in towns with vehicles/soldiers in arma2 it feels much more smooth then in arma3 (when both games show for example 40 frames).
In arma2 you have found many cti,in arma3 all cti are rubbish. And the very bad MP-performance is a reason too why many modders stop their work.
Or the bug-tickets from bohemia. It is full with bugs they are many years old but not fixed and there you find many reports about the very bad performance from arma3.
But then some blind fanboys say: Arma3 runs well..........
The same troll raging - clickbating posting again and again...
I think some people needs a girl or a life.
Might be he took too much pills.. or all of them.. Just a guess.
Different teams work on DAYZ compared to Arma3.
I dont see Op's connection. He/she may as well complain about the Take on Mars updates.
I also know some *big* modders. Theyre fine with BI and A3 updates, even if there's sometimes a bit of work to do.
Arma has always been a great framework to hang mods on.
there have always been "casual" missions and modes. I remember when the "hardcore" complained about any mission that has respawn and isnt a one life only affair.
If one wants to play harcore there are groups pout there. if one want to play Life there are groups out there etc etc etc ad nauseum.
I dont play "life" games as they dont float my boat but it doesnt bother me at all that they exist and if any code/ideas carry over fom them to what *I* consider good missions/mods then it's all good.

Also there are a ton of mil sim servers clans and custom mission files for coop or pve what ever!! The whole thread is pointless!!
I remember playing ArmA 2 and AO, and allmost every server was great, just that realistic large scale tactical battles, and now you either have to join a community or be lucky you find a good server because 99% of the server is Dayz/Epoch/RPG BS and such, But mods like TacBF and PR seem te be forgotten because the are to hard for the standard ArmA 3 player now a days.
Dont forget A2 was content heavy due to other unrealised projects.
Even though we may have *expected* more "stuff" it was way out of the scope of the redesigned A3.
Regardless we all know, or should know the various mods to bring in all the A2 content which BI kindly allowed us to do.
They didnt have to.
Im an old Ofp player. I prefer milsim-esque missions in Arma3 butthe more casual modes and missions worry me not one bit.
The real issue is perhaps in efficiently using the server browser which does tend to flood one with the "casual" servers.
Remember, hate them or not, if the "life" games etc are popular and folk buy A3 for those then that's great for us traditional players as it enables BI to add more content.
Arma3 will never become a *mainstream* "game" in the sense that the OP seems to be alluding to.
it's pure tinfoil hattery.

PS hello gobbo!
For the record I've been enjoying the crap out of co-op Arma missons lately.
Even got a few people I would never have guessed would be interested to constantly ask me to play.
Thanks to the mod creators, we're never running out of stuff to do. Not many games like that out there.
Just be glad there is a game like this that fits so many play styles, more sales, more stuff for us.
