New arma player, looking for some people to team up with

Hey, one of my friends showed me the arma series and i instintly became addicted to it. but i only played it about 4-5 times at one of my friends house. so i went on steam and bought it yesterday and downloaded it and found out that my old computer could only barly handle it with only around 8-10 fps witch is insanly laggy, so i recently built my own custom gaming rig, here are the specs to it, also i have a turtle beach x12 gaming headset so id like for anyone who wants to team up to be able to talk and have a headset as well. feel free to respond below.

Also does anyone think that this new computer will not be able to max out arma 3 with the highest settings and a good fps rate? feel free to comment below.

I don't think there's a PC around that would run A3 with the highest settings with an acceptable framerate. (this includes view distance) But you should do ok with that rig. ;)

Im running it just fine maxed out on my rig, although now and again I get the odd fps drop, but not anything that is unplayable.. ( don't forget the game isn't fully optimised yet)

@ OP your rig should run the game just fine although don't expect it to run the game silky smooth maxed out, you should get good results on v.high settings, (there isn't too much difference between this and ultra settings ) or you could even play around with the video settings and run a hybrid of ultra and very high settings etc to get even higher fps.

1st Marine Recon Battalion is Recruiting


We are an ArmA 2 and ArmA 3 Tactical Realism Unit. We currently have many experienced and new members and always welcoming more. We have an active rank and command structure based on the United States Marine Corps and members will be given ranks for their hard work within the unit. We are a light hearted community that enjoy having a laugh with each other, but also enjoy a responsible and mature attitude both in game and out.
We have an active team of admins who are always around to help people out with any issues, who also take part in the community and events. We also have a dedicated team of mission makers though we will always welcome more. We have multiple servers running including two public servers, a private mission server and boot camp servers. We also regularly run a testing server so the members of our community can be actively involved in the creation upcoming missions, as well as a dedicated ArmA 3 server.

All of our servers run the ACE 2 and ACRE mods along with a variety of others

Filter 1st Marine Recon Battalion in the Host Filter and come play on our servers

What we are looking for
Teamwork – Ability to work well with others and function effectively as part of a larger unit.

Commitment – We are looking for people who are going to attend events regularly as well as being active member of our community with TS and the website. We push to have everyone attend our events but we do understand that everyone has real lives and things may occur that are unexpected.

Mature and Professional Attitude – We expect every one of our members to be responsible and mature, to the game and to other people, public or members. Everyone of our members should understand when it is acceptable to have laugh and when the time comes to cut the crap and get the job done.

go for it, i would already be playing, but i just found out that the psu i got from newegg is DOA so i just issued a rma to get a new one, and will hopfully be online in the next 2-3 days, but il add you if you want.
