3rd SFG(A) CIF is an Arma 3 realism unit with focus on recreating the training, tactics, and operations that US SF/CIF Teams experience in the real world. Our members have multiple years of Arma experience along with real world military experience.

Bio:

3rd SFG(A) CIF stood up on January 22nd, 2016 with a group of like minded veterans wanting something different. With the vast number of realism units within the Arma 3 community, the founding members looked to model after a real world military unit not heavily represented within the Arma.

*Redacted*, 2nd BN, 3rd SFG(A) is the current Commander In Extremis Force (CIF) company in 3rd Group. Every Special Forces Group (Airborne) (SFG(A)) includes a Combatant Commanders In-extremis Force (CIF) Company. The CIF is a specially-trained and resourced element that is focused on Direct Action (DA) / Counter Terrorism (CT) missions. This role includes both training foreign tactical units in DA / CT techniques and carrying out DA / CT operations themselves, often with partner nation forces.

Special Forces units perform seven doctrinal missions: Unconventional Warfare, Foreign Internal Defense, Special Reconnaissance, Direct Action, Combating Terrorism, Counter-proliferation, and Information Operations. These missions make Special Forces unique in the U.S. military, because they are employed throughout the three stages of the operational continuum: peacetime, conflict and war.

3rd SFG(A) CIF has taken this model to create a TEAM. We strive to make a close knit group without all the bureaucracy. All members of the team have a say in the direction and focus of 3rd SFG(A) CIF. The focus of the team is to elevate our skills as a team to the next level. We strive to move beyond basic tactics and battle drills to become a team that has the ability and proficiency worthy of the special forces name. Our entry pipeline is focused on a true selection process. This is not a unit for beginners and entry is not guaranteed.

3rd SFG(A) CIF is looking for the following individuals:

• High preferences to military veterans
  
• Knowledgeable in Special Operations Forces (SOF) small unit tactics
  
• Highly motivated individuals
  
• Individuals looking to take their skills to the next level
  
• Must be mature and thick skinned.
  
• "Quiet Professional" one that can maintain their integrity and composure someone who does their job, remains humble and dedicated, and does not use their authority or experiences in the furtherance of their own ego.
  
• Server administration, website design, modding, mission creation a plus
  
• Must be 18 or older to apply

Overall, quality over quantity is our recruiting standard.

3rd SFG(A) CIF also incorporates a small air detachment modeled after 160th SOAR. Only highly skilled pilots will be considered. Ground units will be at the forefront of 3rd SFG(A) CIF.
