Arma 3
Have 3 displays, ARMA 3 displaying on the wrong screen and can't find a way to change.
Hi, I have 3 displays (not currently in nvidia surround mode), I just want to play on one screen typically my center screen which is the primary (main) in windows. When launching Arma 3 the logo starts in the middle screen but then the rest of the game menu/and playing the game is on my right hand display (not the main) with no option in the video settings to change as far as I can tell.

Nvidia Driver: 310.90
Windows 8 Pro

I'm having the same issue. I have 2 screens and it always goes to my 2nd screen so I have to turn off the monitor then turn it on... Sounds dumb but once I do that it puts it on my center screen lol. Hope someone can figure this one out I hate having to do that.

Thanks, was hopeful this would work but it didnt unfortunately. Tried with 1,2,3 and for the hell of it 4 as a setting but no difference. The game launches on the centre screen, but the mouse can't select anything. I move the mouse to another screen and the game minimises, I maximise the game again and it appears on my right hand screen and the mouse then can select menu's. Hope a solution arrives soon as the game looks great. :D

Open: "C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Arma 3\Arma 3.cfg" in notepad.

Insert a line on line 4 (above "detectedAdapterId=#") with:

"forcedAdapterId=0"

Where "0" indicates which monitor you wish to use. You can identify which monitor to use by right clicking on your desktop and selecting "Screen Resolution". You will see pictures of the monitors that you have with a number identifying the monitor. As the adapter counter in the game starts with "0", subtract 1 from the monitor number you wish to use.

Ex: Monitor 1 is "0", Monitor 2 is "1" and so on.

Save this file and relaunch the game.
I tried this and it still isn't working

Hey guys, I had the same problem. If you're using SLI then this should fix it for you, my second screen was plugged into my first GPU (one on top), and visa versa. Simply switch the DVI inputs around, you your primary display is plugged into the first GPU, and second monitor into the second screen. Hope this helps, worked for me :D :AAF:

Hey guysh... if your getting unsupported mode in arma3, open arma3.cfg and edit your refresh rate to 60. Default is 178????wtf

I had the same issue of my mouse wasn't registering the game until it was on my second screen(once I minimized it and it automatically changed over). So I tried going to Arma 3.cfg and tried changing both "detectedAdapterld" and "forcedAdapterld" and set them to 0. It now works. Thanks for the big help everyone. Originally, my game stated normally until i was messing with the video settings and something happened and made my display all funky and I tried reverting back and this issue started. Anyways now its fixed and this was a great help.:steamhappy: :ALTIS::CSAT::FIA::NATO:

On windows go to display settings and click the monitor you want it to open on and then select "Make my main display"

For anyone else facing this issue detectedAdapterld will override forcedAdapterld in my experience. Change both or remove the detectedAdapterld line. The id is 0-indexed.
