Windows cannot access the specified device, path......

When I try to launch from the launcher, I get the error "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to acess the item."

When I click OK, it proceeds to ask me if I want to launch Arma 3 without BattleEye. In the Launcher, under BattleEye Status, it makes it run through starting BE, updating BE, then "launching the game" which is followed by "launching the game failed."

I can open up the Arma 3 folder and launch arma3battleeye.exe without the launcher and all is well. Runs, BE works, etc.

I have to tried to verify the files via Steam. All exe's related to Arma and BE are allowed in the firewall and cleared through the AV. I have downloaded the executables from BE's website, run them, they appear to do nothing. But as I said, I can launch with BE without using the launcher so it appears to be a launcher issue more than anything else.

If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate the help. I put a shortcut onto my desktop for the exe that works but that doesn't launch any of the command parameters I set so it isnt a total solution.

Reinstalled hole Game...
Firewall Check
Drivers... up to date
Windows up to date

Nothing worked

Please somone got an Idea?

Windows 10 64bit v1803 build 17134.137. I also had earlier version which had this same problem, got this new build and same issue still persist. So I don't see it being Windows build problem as it suddenly appeared without any updates being made to Windows.

the update seems to have allowed battleeye to launch with any problems but the game wont start up? any ideas

This issue has been fixed. If your still having problems, I do believe they are unrelated, or possibly just new bugs that were caused because of this issue and your attempts to fix it. I've checked with multiple other people that have the same issue, on different operating systems, and the issue has been fixed.

Still doesnt work for me, I am using win 8.1 and cant launch games life fortnite due to this problem either.

Just got this issue yesterday - followed all known solutions, but still facing the problem.

Resetting windows / repairing windows seems like the only logical step. Also side note make sure your Arma 3 is on the same hard drive as windows perhaps this will solve.
