d3d error - dxgi_error_device_removed - Radeon HD 7670m
Hi,

I got the issue (d3d error - dxgi_error_device_removed) when running ArmA 3 on low-to-standard graphical settings, fullscreen mode with cca. 30-40 fps.

What happens is that the game freezes for some secs then quit with the error message appearing in ArmA3 window. Then I have to go to Task Manager and forcestop the application.

I've been playing for a week and ever since the crash only occured playing with single player mode (campaigns, etc.).

It is just so WEIRD that while playing multiplayer with cca. 20-29 fps (ofc If I am able to join a server...) I have not experienced any crashes yet.

My specs:

Dell Inspiron 3521 Laptop

CPU: Intel i3 1,8 Ghz
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: AMD radeon 7670m (1GB) - switchable (Intel HD 4000)
OS: Win 7 Home Edition (64-bit)
Directx 11

I have recently reinstalled Win7 and updated all drivers via www.dell.com!

I would appreciate any tips or guides how to resolve the issue!

Thanks in advance!

Update:

Well I reinstalled Windows and then tried several radeon related drivers but none of them was identified by the system. The only driver accepted is the one I already used: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=3W32N

(I was really sad and I tried the ArmA 2 demo hoping that I would not meet such graphical issues which I could confirm but tbh I didnt like the graphics.)

So, with the latest reinstallation process I gave it a last try to run the game (on low settings and round 30 fps) and to my surprise I could even pass through the campaign that caused most of the crashes (night time heli trip after prologue).

Then I asked myself: What the hell happened?
I realized that I didnt set the "high performance" option in the "switchable graphics" panel for ArmA3.exe. Thus, the system used the default Intel HD 4000 gpu and I can confirm it is working with driver version discussed here: https://communities.intel.com/thread/46821

However the Intel HD 4000 gpu solved the problem I still wonder how I can resolve the issue with the Radeon 7670m gpu. Any help would be appreciated!

I also hope I could help users with similar notebook specs!

Cheers
