x64 bit version broken after v2.18 update: STATUS_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION when loading the main menu

v2.16 works fine in the same machine, I've not changed anything in between.

The game can sill load the main menu if I switch to the 32 bit version in this 2.18 version. I've not tried to actually play any server, but I had to switch to the x64 version years ago due to the bad performance.

Windows 7 64bit, DirectX 11. I've multiple VCC redistributable versions installed from 2005 to 2013 (which the game should be using) to 2015.

Someone in other thread said v2.18 switched to a more recent VCC redistributable version. Can anyone confirm this? Maybe I can fix the problem if I manually install the newer version.

From this Arma (official) discord link https://discord.com/channels/105462288051380224/311478997169209354/1293934855171604602 Dedmen (one of the devs) says since 2.18 it requires Visual Studio 2022 redistributable, instead of the old/unsupported 2013. Try that. And make sure you use 64bit versions if your OS is too.

And Windows 7 is no longer supported anyway.
On the product page for Arma 3 on Steam it says on my end (translated to English):

"Since January 1st 2024 the Steam client only supports Windows 10 and later versions."
